Chairman Mian Ershad Zaheen provided a brief history of the charity to date, and Consultant Ophthalmologist Ms Rahila Zakir challenged guests to experience visual impairment through the use of vision simulation glasses. The evening's entertainment included a fabulous performance from artist Shahid Khan who sang 'Allah Hoo' and other well known nausheeds. There was also the opportunity to bid for exquisite art work, an Umrah package and a stunning sculpture in the evening's auction, conducted by Ajmal Masroor. Through live video link, Trustee Nusrat Mirza spoke to Fatima about her corneal transplant surgery and the impact it had on her life.
