Saeed is one of the best students in his class and the family is immensely proud of him. Saeed loves sports and dreams of making it to the national cricket team one day.
Saeed’s future seemed threatened when a cricket the ball hit him in his right eye but as the swelling and pain subsided, his family thought nothing more of it.
Gradually Saeed’s grades started falling and he was too afraid to tell his parents he could no longer see the blackboard clearly for fear of disappointing them. After a teacher alerted them to the situation, Saeed’s father took him to Korangi hospital in Karachi.
Free surgery to treat his traumatic cataract meant Saeed could return to school and is working harder than ever before. He still dreams of becoming a cricketer.
